Sudeep studied in Mayo College, Ajmer from where he finished his 12th in '80 and moved on to Jain College, Chennai for his Graduation. After completing his Inter CA, his career focus shifted and he found himself in XLRI, Jamshedpur pursuing a post graduation in Human Resources & Organisation Development Over the next 17 years in Mumbai, he soared up the Human Resources ladder with stints at Godrej & Boyce, UTV and Kotak Mahindra where he eventually became the Group Head – HR.
Pravina finished from Lawrence School, Lovedale in '81 and armed with just a Commerce Degree from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore, she shifted to Mumbai and built a career in Advertising and Sales in UDI Yellow Pages, Rediffusion Advertising and STAR TV India.
They met in 1990 when they were part of Adishakti, a theatre group that performed 'A Greater Dawn' – an adaptation of Sri Aurobindo's epic poem Savitri, under the direction of Veenapani Chawla. In 1992 the Production was brought to Pondicherry and it was then that they both received an inner calling to return permanently. They married in 1993 and in 1997 Pravina quit her job when Tvara, their daughter was due. Taavish, their son, followed 3 years later in 2000.
The shift to Pondiville happened in April 2004, when they packed bags, baggage and parents and moved to the jungle. Over the next few years, old friends, relatives and long lost classmates visited and each one of them was so enthralled with their experience that slowly, an idea began to take shape ...
And in 2010, Inn Pondiville was conceptualised as an extension of Sudeep and Pravina's home that would provide a space for like-minded people to share in the experience of being able to let it all go ...
Inn Pondiville has been designed and built by Sudeep and Pravina. No architect, engineer or contractor was involved during its construction. A committed team of workers sourced from surrounding villages were encouraged to contribute ideas and the end result is truly a manifestation of a highly motivated team.
